Chaal Jeevi Laiye Movie Reviews

Vipul Mehta’s third directorial venture (after ‘Carry On Kesar’ and ‘Best Of Luck Lalu’) comprises all the elements right from dialogues, editing, cinematography, music to performances – all done with perfect precision. He deserves a pat on the back for a good storyline that celebrates the philosophy that ‘one must live life to the fullest’. He knows how to deal with human emotions on the screen and that’s what keeps the audiences hooked to their seats as the narrative unfolds. The film has its own moments of humor which adds an element of freshness.

Viewers might feel a bit of ‘Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara’ hangover with the idea of a life-changing road-trip but with a desi twist to it amidst the beautiful landscapes of Uttarakhand. We must say Uttarakhand plays an important character in the movie with its beautiful landscapes adding a breath of fresh air. The production quality is certainly praiseworthy.

LALLU KI LAILA MOVIE REVIEW

Sachin-Jigar and Niren Bhatt win the hearts yet again with some melodious renditions especially ‘Chaand Ne Kaho’ by Jigardan Gadhavi and ‘Pa Pa Pagli’ sung by Sonu Nigam.

When it comes to performances, Siddharth Randeria makes sure to give something more memorable that goes beyond his Gujjubhai appeal — we love to see him mimicking Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar to give that total filmy edge, Aarohi in her vivacious bubbly role of Ketki is fun to watch and Yash Soni undergoes a transformation in the movie as he effortlessly plays the role of a workaholic professional changing into someone enjoying the trip with his father and thereby discovering the nuances of life. Aruna Irani and Jagesh Mukati do justice to their roles.

Overall, this movie is like enjoying a Gujarati slice-of-life even as the cinematic magic adds more life to it — especially the fun-filled road-trip from Rishikesh To Kedarnath! A soulful yet fun weekend watch for Gujarati movie lovers.
